A part-time (2 days a week) permanent position in the Research and Education team undertaking a range of functions associated with managing library services and facilities in Rockhampton has become available at Supreme Court Library Queensland (SCLQ).

The Customer Services and Research Librarian (Rockhampton) reports to the Customer Services and Research Manager and is responsible for undertaking a range of functions associated with providing library services and supporting library facilities in Rockhampton.
Responsibilities
* Improve user experience in the Rockhampton courthouse library through provision of high quality customer support to members of the judiciary, legal profession and other library customers
* Actively engage with the library's customers to understand their needs and provide a responsive service
* Strengthen partnerships between the library and the judiciary, legal professionals, key courthouse staff and industry peers
* Assist with the delivery of information services (including document digitisation and loans) and public engagement activities (including assisting with installation of legal heritage displays as required)
* Assist and support the provision of research, training and support services for library customers, face to face and remotely, at a level commensurate with skills, knowledge and experience
* Provide basic information technology support to, and troubleshoot problems experienced by, library customers, face to face and remotely
* Assist with collection maintenance tasks and general library space maintenance
* Assist with maintaining customer information, compiling mailing lists for information services campaigns and public engagement events, and auditing customer eligibility for information services
* Assist in the development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures associated with the management and development of the Rockhampton courthouse library
* Contribute to development of, and participate in, activities that promote greater understanding and increased use of library services
* Assist with the measurement of information services, public engagement activities and collection management activities and compilation of data for reporting purposes
* Proactively manage personal workload and competing priorities
* Take personal responsibility to deliver agreed outcomes, demonstrating and fostering professional and ethical behaviour, and committing to personal development
* Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, customers and key stakeholders
* Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, including identifying potential efficiencies and enhancements in collection management and information services functions
Remuneration is competitive: $95,970 to $104,574 annual salary (pro rata) depending on skills and experience (plus leave loading and superannuation). This position is part-time and paid on a pro rata basis. Working conditions are flexible and family friendly.
