About the role
The Salty Dog Hotel Kingston Beach is seeking an experienced Senior Chef De Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This full-time role is based in our modern kitchen located in the beautiful seaside town of Kingston Beach, Tasmania.
What you'll be doing
* Overseeing and coordinating the operations of your designated section of the kitchen
* Preparing high-quality dishes from our diverse seasonal menu
* Ensuring the consistent execution of recipes and presentation standards
* Supervising and mentoring junior chefs to develop their skills
* Maintaining a safe, hygienic and well-organised kitchen environment
* Collaborating with the Head Chef to continuously improve our menu and operations
* Providing exceptional customer service to our guests
What we're looking for
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a high-quality restaurant or hotel kitchen
* Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and presentation
* Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
* A passion for creating visually appealing and delicious dishes
* Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage a team
* Adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure
* Relevant cookery qualifications or certifications (desirable)
