Roster: 8D/6R/7N/7R – FIFO ex Perth (Flying day: Wednesday)
Our Emergency Services Officers are response team members for all emergency incidents on site. They assist with the day-to-day running of the emergency services and medical team. Emergency Services Officers are also responsible for ensuring that site-based and corporate policies, procedures, and plans related to emergency management, security management, and medical management are followed at all times.
You will be responsible for providing leadership and training services to the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and site departments, responding to onsite emergencies, and maintaining operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
* Equipment preparedness, including compliance inspections and reporting
* Planning, coordinating, and participating in site emergency drills
* Responding to onsite emergencies and maintaining operational readiness
* Providing medical services and ensuring medical facilities are operationally ready
* Maintaining a level of fitness required for the role as determined by the company
Qualifications and Experience
* Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response & Rescue or Certificate III in Public Safety (Fire Fighting and Emergency Operations)
* Certificate IV in Health Care as a minimum (Diploma or Degree preferred)
* Including at minimum: Rope Rescue, Road Crash Rescue, Firefighting, Confined Space Rescue, Breathing Apparatus (Open Circuit), and Hazmat
* Certificate IV in WHS and/or Training and Assessment (desirable)
* Previous experience in emergency response and incident management
* Skills in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
