This is a full-time role working across a diverse fleet including plant equipment, trucks and light vehicles. You will play a key role in maintaining fleet reliability, safety and operational efficiency. This position suits mechanics looking for variety, stability and long-term employment within a professional and supportive environment. Tasks & Responsibilities * Service, diagnose and repair diesel, plant and light vehicles * Conduct scheduled maintenance and breakdown repairs * Fault-finding across mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems * Perform inspections and preventative maintenance * Maintain service records and documentation * Ensure compliance with WHS and safety procedures * Liaise with workshop and site teams Skills & Experience Essential * Trade-qualified Mechanic (Diesel, Light Vehicle or equivalent) * Experience working on vehicles, plant or equipment * Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills * Ability to work independently and within a team * Strong attention to detail and safety focus Highly Regarded * Experience in civil, transport or plant environments * HR licence or additional tickets Salary & Benefits * $42 - $60 per hour super (depending on experience) * Full-time permanent role * Modern workshop and varied work * Stable employment with long-term opportunity * Supportive team environment About the company The employer is a well-established construction and plant services business operating across the ACT, supporting civil and infrastructure projects with a diverse fleet of equipment.
