Senior Administration Coordination Officer
This is an exciting opportunity to support the coordination of briefings and correspondence and assist with a wide variety of administrative support functions in the Threatened Species and Ecosystems Branch.
Ongoing full-time (35 hours per week). Locations: Coffs Harbour, Parramatta, Orange – other locations will be considered. Salary: $109,102 to $120,542 super.
About the role
The role will provide high quality business coordination and administration services to support the effective and efficient operations of the Threatened Species and Ecosystems Branch. Responsibilities include records management, assisting with staff recruitment and onboarding, coordinating financial management systems such as accounts payable, reviewing and improving business systems, and supporting the implementation of a range of other administrative projects. The role will also assist with completion of briefs and submissions.
About you
Are you a self‐starter who is experienced in providing administrative support services? You will play a pivotal role in managing the flow of communication and advice between the branch and other parts of DCCEEW. You will prioritise requests, manage workloads and exercise independent sound judgement in an environment with tight timelines and high volumes. Strong organisational skills will be key to you successfully managing competing demands and tight deadlines. Attention to detail and the ability to deliver tasks in tight, challenging timeframes are essential.
Key knowledge and experience
* Experience in providing high‐level business coordination services, including a demonstrated ability to draft correspondence such as reports, letters and briefing documents.
* Sound experience in providing business administration coordination and administrative support at a senior level with proven capacity to support high‐profile projects in a high‐pressure environment.
* Experience providing advice on sensitive and controversial issues to senior management.
