Renovations North Queensland Pty Ltd are seeking an experienced and motivated Plasterer to join our team. The ideal candidate is a hard worker, honest, and reliable, with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship across residential and commercial projects.
Your role will include, but is not limited to:
* Measure, cut and install plasterboard to walls and ceilings, including fitting battens, insulation and vapour barriers as required.
* Prepare, apply and finish plaster or render coatings on internal and external surfaces, ensuring smooth, even and durable finishes.
* Tape, set and finish plasterboard joints, covering screw and nail holes, sanding surfaces and preparing them for final coatings.
* Install cornices, mouldings and decorative plaster elements, ensuring all corners, edges and surfaces are straight, level and aligned with building plans.
* Carry out surface preparation and painting work, including cleaning, patching, colour matching and applying high-quality final finishes where required.
* Repair and restore damaged plaster or wallboard surfaces, interpret building plans, coordinate with other trades and comply with workplace health and safety requirements.
* Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Applicants must have:
* Relevant trade qualification AQF Certificate IV with at least one year of relevant experience. Alternatively, at least three years of full-time relevant experience in lieu of a formal qualification.
* Proven experience as a Plasterer with additional painting experience (preferred).
* Good English language ability, including the capacity to understand work instructions, communicate clearly with supervisors and team members.
* Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
* Ability to work in hot North Queensland conditions.
* Reliable, honest, and consistent with excellent work ethic.
* Drivers licence essential.
