About the role

The Health Technician supports the delivery of clinical nursing and simulation-based education by preparing and maintaining laboratory environments, equipment, and teaching resources. The role ensures specialist and simulated ward equipment is set up, calibrated, maintained, and compliant with safety standards.

Responsibilities

The Health Technician manages laboratory inventory, simulated medications, procurement processes, and associated records, while undertaking administrative support tasks. The position also assists with supervision of activities under the guidance of a Lecturer and liaises with staff, suppliers, and industry representatives to support program delivery and maintain a safe working environment.

To work for the College, you may be required to hold Australian or Australian equivalent qualification(s). If your qualification has been obtained overseas, the Overseas Qualifications Unit (OQU) offers a free assessment service to have your tertiary or higher education qualification(s) recognised. Eligibility and Conditions

Eligibility for employment is subject to obtaining a satisfactory Department of Education Criminal Clearance. If this position involves contact with children, the recommended occupant will also be required to obtain a Working with Children (WWC) Card.

To be eligible for appointment applicants must have a working visa (for fixed term contract appointments) or permanent residency (for permanent appointments).
