Groundsperson Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Groundsperson to join our team. As a Groundsperson, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to owners and guests while performing duties such as cleaning, gardening, and general care of the landscape, nursery, and growth of plants at our beautiful Phillip Island property.
Key Responsibilities:
* Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform room maintenance tasks including checks and repairs.
* Maintenance of Resort Equipment: Maintain all resort equipment in working order.
* Gardening Tasks: Prune trees, shrubs, and hedges.
* Lawn Care: Mow and cut grass and lawns.
* Plant Care: Look after plants and flowers.
* Irrigation Systems: Manage irrigation systems.
* Other Grounds Maintenance Tasks: Perform other grounds maintenance tasks as required.
Requirements:
* Prior Experience: Previous experience in a similar role creating exceptional & memorable experiences for guests is essential.
* Gardening Skills: Understanding of using gardening tools and equipment.
* Occupational Health & Safety: Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety principles.
* Cleaning Management: Knowledge of cleaning management on a hobby farm.
* Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail.
* Flexible Roster: Ability to work a flexible roster, including weekends, school, and public holiday periods if required.
