Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders and community members.
Facilitate public meetings, workshops, and consultations to gather input and feedback.
Prepare and distribute clear and concise communication materials.
Collaborate with internal teams to align engagement plans with project goals.
Monitor and report on the effectiveness of engagement activities.
Address community concerns and provide timely responses to inquiries.
Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures in all engagement efforts.
The Successful ApplicantA successful Flood Community Engagement Advisor should have: A strong understanding of community engagement principles and practices.
Flood knowledge and experience as a community enjoyment advisor Local council experience Project coordination expertise Previous experience in stakeholder management or public engagement roles.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Proficiency in creating and delivering presentations to various audiences.
A collaborative approach to working with diverse teams and communities.
Knowledge of flood management or infrastructure projects is desirable.
What's on Offer Hourly rate of $60-$65 per hour plus super Opportunity to work in the Docklands area, close to public transport and amenities.
