About The Role We are seeking a dedicated Canteen Assistant to join our team on Fridays. Reporting to the Canteen Supervisor for operational matters and the Business Services Manager for administrative tasks, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our school canteen. Key Responsibilities Include Providing quality customer service, including food production, preparation, counter service, and cleaning duties. Maintaining a clean, hygienic environment for food preparation, storage, and handling. Following daily menu plans and food preparation procedures. Operating a cash register and managing transactions with client groups. Adhering to Workplace Health and Safety practices to ensure safe and hygienic operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a dynamic environment and contributing to the wellbeing of students and staff. About You The following traits would be beneficial: Experience in food preparation, catering, or customer service. Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practices.
