Sox Hospitality is entering an exciting period of growth and evolution, and we’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team. Based on the Gold Coast, this role will be central to shaping our financial strategy, strengthening operational discipline, and supporting the long‑term sustainability of our group.
The Role
The CFO will oversee all financial operations across the group, providing strategic direction, commercial insight, and strong governance. We’re looking for someone who is hands‑on, able to balance high‑level strategy with day‑to‑day financial management, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead financial strategy, planning, and forecasting for the group
* Oversee budgeting, reporting, cash flow management and financial compliance
* Deliver commercial analysis to support decision‑making across venues and new projects
* Strengthen and streamline financial systems, processes and controls to support growth
* Work closely with the CEO and executive team on business planning and operational performance
* Manage key external relationships, including auditors, banks and major suppliers
* Support expansion initiatives such as new venue openings, acquisitions, and capital projects
* Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to ensure strong performance and accountability
About You
* Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial leader, ideally within hospitality, retail, or multi‑site operations
* Strong commercial acumen with the ability to turn financial insights into practical business outcomes
* Demonstrated success improving systems, processes, and reporting frameworks
* Comfortable operating strategically while remaining hands‑on when required
* Excellent communication skills and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels
