Your Role
The Accounts Payable Officer is responsible for processing supplier invoices, staff reimbursement claims and corporate credit cards on the accounting system for payment. This involves checking that the invoice has been properly authorised in accordance with delegated authorities, confirming that it is for a legitimate business expense, checking general ledger coding and GST, accurately processing the invoice to the right cost centre and general ledger code and batching the invoices for payment.
**Key Duties Include**:
- Reviewing and maintaining the accounts payable ledger
- Reconcile creditor statements as required
- Assist in completion of monthly invoicing for Rehab Management business
- Assist in the completion of month end in a timely manner
- Assist with identifying month end accruals
- Manage the day to day operations of the Accounts Payable function
- Processing weekly payment runs and adhoc payments as required
- Staff expense reimbursements
- Credit card reconciliations and payments
- Assisting with developing and maintaining Accounts Payable policies and procedures
- Streamlining of current processes
- Ensuring GST compliance (suppliers have an active ABN, input tax credits claimed correctly

About You
- Strong experience in similar Accounts Payable role (3+ years experience)
- Strong technical and financial tools skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical knowledge
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent decision making, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Excellent customer service skills
