APS3 Legal Support Role

This Temporary Full-Time position is seeking a motivated and experienced Legal Support Officer to work on a labour hire arrangement for an initial 6-month period, with the possibility of further extension.
The role involves managing case files, preparing case materials, and coordinating witness logistics. The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and resilient team player with a background in administration-based roles.
Responsibilities:

* Manage case files, perform data entry, photocopying, filing, records management, and archiving.

* Prepare case materials, lodge documents, and conduct basic research.

* Draft subpoenas, coordinate witness logistics (including travel arrangements), and manage video conferencing setups.

* Work closely with Federal Prosecutors, external agencies, courts, and counsel.
">
* Support prosecutions, including child exploitation offences.
">
* Provide timely and accurate advice while escalating issues to senior staff as needed.

* Engage in learning and development activities as required.

About the Position:

This Temporary Full-Time position offers an hourly rate of $42 to $45 per hour, inclusive of casual loading in lieu of leave entitlements. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to gain experience in a structured, high-pressure legal environment.

* Australian Citizenship: Applicants must be Australian citizens at the time of application.

* Security Clearance: A minimum Baseline Security Clearance with the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) is required.

* Full-time Availability: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (37.5 hours per week).

* Physical Requirements: The role requires the ability to handle trolleys and suitcases for case-related tasks.
