About the Position
As the Incident & Problem Manager, you will provide end-to-end coordination of incident response impacting University-critical services, bringing together technical teams, service owners, and vendors to restore services in a controlled and proportionate way. You will maintain situational awareness, manage escalation pathways, and coordinate clear stakeholder communications during high-visibility incidents. You will also drive evidence-based problem management by analysing incident and monitoring data to identify trends, risks, and recurring issues, and translating these into practical improvements that strengthen service stability and resilience.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
* Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and/or combination of comparable relevant experience and knowledge.
* ITIL v4 certification (Managing Professional / Strategic Leader) strongly preferred; equivalent experience considered. Significant experience in IT service management, with experience in incident and problem management roles.
* Demonstrated ability in leading incident and problem management teams and projects.
* Broad technical understanding + ability to challenge/synthesise IT technical language
* Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
* Proficiency in ITSM tools and software, especially HALO ITSM
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills including with executive and senior managers.

Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at Professional Level 8. The base salary will be in the range of $108,349 – $122,491 per annum. The total remuneration package will be in the range of $126,768 - $143,314 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
