About the Role
We're looking for someone with a love for cakes. If you are a trade qualified Pastry Cook with past experience, we'd love to hear from you. Full training and support will be provided on-site.
Key Responsibilities & Skills Required:
* Baking sponges, mud cakes, cheesecakes & biscuit bases
* Decorating and icing cakes and pastries as required.
* Preparing Pastry Fillings
* Preparing different types of icings including but not limited to Butter cream, jams, fresh cream, mock cream, Ganache, truffles and more as required.
* Sourcing, preparing and baking ingredients to make customised cakes for special events. For example, Wedding cakes / Birthday cakes / Baby shower cakes / Tier cakes
* Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning and cooling of batches of pastry products and cakes
* Operating commercial machinery including but not limited to mixers, cutters and oven
* Maintaining kitchen stock levels and supplies
* Upholding health & safety standards
* Ensuring cleanliness and organisation of the prep area
* Other baking and kitchen duties as reasonably requested
