**Health Information Services (HIS)** team at the **Victorian Heart Hospital** currently has an exciting opportunity located at its Main Reception. Representing our first ever cardiac facility, this role provides outstanding customer service and efficient admissions and administrative support.
**Main Reception Customer Service & Admissions Administrative Officer**
Exciting position for an enthusiastic customer focused individual who enjoys working collaboratively as part of a broader team, thrives in a busy dynamic environment and genuinely enjoys greeting and helping people.
The heart hospitals Main Reception is open 7 days per week with shift start and finish times varying between 8am and finish at 8pm.
Located at Main Reception, key administrative responsibilities include:
- Create a welcoming first impression at the heart hospitals main reception
- Provide efficient, respectful, courteous and professional greeting to all our consumers, either by telephone or in person
- Support our consumers in relation to the purpose for their contact and/or visit
- Ensure patients are admitted correctly with accurate up to date information
- Assist patients/carers/families with their inquiries
- Use of various systems including Patient Administrative System (iPM), Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Scanned Medical Records (SMR) and other Monash Health accepted methods or systems
- Provide administrative support to Managers, Team Leaders and other stakeholders across the department as necessary
- Ensure utmost data accuracy, integrity and confidentiality
- Administrative duties as required (as outlined in attached PD)

You are a talented administrative professional, passionate about providing the best customer service possible and within a timely manner to support the needs of our patients and their families and carers. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders across a multidisciplinary team, you take personal pride in delivering accurate administrative support at all times.
To ensure your success in this role, you will have following demonstrated skills, experience and knowledge:
- Extensive experience in Customer Services, essential
- Previous experience in a health care setting, desirable
- Business Administration Studies, preferable
- Medical Terminology Certificate, desirable
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills/ data entry, essential
- Flexibility and availability to work rostered working hours, essential
- Demonstrated ability to complete tasks in timely manner
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Adaptable with positive approach to a frequently changing environment
- Able to multitask and to learn new systems and processes quickly
- Superior customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
