Mental Health Nurse Bed Coordinator, Banksia Ward

About The Role
This is a Permanent Full Time or Part Time position at up to 80 hours per fortnight within the Mental Health Department, Banksia Ward.
You will be responsible for handling intake (triage) and completing assessments before admission for consumers referred and accepted during clinical hours (9am-5pm, Mon-Fri). You would manage in-hours admissions in coordination with the Banksia Ward Consultant Psychiatrist, NUM/ANUMs, and the interdisciplinary team. Additionally, you would work closely with Consultation Liaison Psychiatry and the Emergency Department to ensure timely access to the ward, improving communication and support between the RCH Emergency Department and Banksia Ward.
Classification:
Social Worker Grade 2, Years 1-4 (SC21 – SC24), Psychology Grade 2, Years 1-4 (PK1 – PK4), Occupational Therapy Grade 2, Years 1-4 (VF6 – VF9) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3, Year 1 to Year 4 (NP81 – NP74).

Delivery of quality and evidence-based assessment, therapeutic interventions and support for children/young people who have experienced sexual harm and their family members.
Promotion of a rights-based, trauma-focused model of recovery for children and their families through collaboration and consultation within RCH departments and external agencies.
Contribution to a culture of open and effective communication, teamwork and lifelong learning.
Your Skills And Experience
Recognised qualification in relevant discipline with current Board registration/eligibility for membership with professional body.
Satisfaction of relevant discipline's continuing professional development standards.

Banksia is an acute psychiatric ward that provides wellbeing and mental health supports for young people aged ***** years, experiencing serious mental health and wellbeing concerns.
