About the role
Lead underground mine planning and project studies to optimise life-of-mine strategies, cost modelling, and project delivery. Provide technical expertise, mentor junior engineers, and support safe, efficient underground operations to meet budget and production targets. Collaborate closely with technical services, UG management, and site teams to drive operational excellence.
Lead underground project studies to support operational growth and efficiency.
Develop, review, and optimise life-of-mine plans in line with business objectives.
Manage budgeting and cost modelling to ensure financial targets and operational efficiency.
Conduct project due diligence, identifying risks, opportunities, and regulatory compliance requirements.
Plan and manage project timelines, resources, and milestones within budget and operational constraints.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical and professional development.
Provide technical support to operations, ensuring alignment with production goals and standards.
Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to improve mining methods, processes, and efficiency.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and recommendations for management.
Any other duties as required to achieve operational goals.
About you
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering.
5+ years underground mining experience, 3+ years in planning.
Knowledge of mine geology, geotechnical practices, and mining methods.
Understanding of WA mining safety legislation.
Competent in Deswik and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
WA C/HR Driver's Licence, First Aid Certificate, Dangerous Goods Security Card.
Proficient in Deswik mining software, MS Excel, Word, and presentation tools.

A site allowance of up to $5k per annum, depending on your site location.
