The Role
The Road Maintenance Worker works as a member within the Town's Roads Maintenance crew. As a crew member, they provide general construction and maintenance services on roads, footpaths, lanes, verges, islands, carparks, crossovers, drainage, signs, traffic control, setting out, rubbish removal and clean‐ups.
Selection Criteria
* Experience and knowledge in undertaking road construction and maintenance including other associated road reserve infrastructure activities.
* Demonstrate working knowledge of safe operation and user maintenance of relevant plant and equipment including hand tools.
* Demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to safe working practices in a maintenance and operations environment.
* Sound written and verbal communication skills and numeracy skills.
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and with limited direction.
* Right to work in Australia (birth certificate, current passport or current visa).
* Valid Driver's Licence.
* Basic Worksite Traffic Management Certificate.
* Current First Aid Qualification.
* MR Class Drivers Licence or greater (must be obtained within 6 months of commencement).
* Safety Awareness Training Certificate (White Card or Blue Card).
