**The Role**
Are you a new graduate ready to play a key role in bringing construction projects to life? As a Draftsperson, you are primarily responsible for the efficient and accurate preparation of working drawings, with a solid understanding of contract documentation, preconstruction procedures, construction techniques and all statutory and compliance requirements.
Further duties and responsibilities will include:
- Completion of technical working drawings in accordance with customer, construction, statutory and compliance requirements
- Submit and action structural and energy certifications
- Submit for Certificate of Design Compliance
- Submit to council for building permit
- Undertake continuous improvement initiatives within the Drafting team/business stakeholders
- Liaising with external business stakeholders to ensure compliance requirements are met
- Consulting with other business departments, providing technical advice and assistance to achieve business objectives
**You**
We're looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Residential Draftsperson with a passion for the building industry and technical drawing. If you have experience with ArchiCAD and a strong understanding of construction and R-Codes, we want to hear from you!
Other skills that will make you succeed:
- Cert IV in Residential Drafting or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of Australian Standard and BCA requirements
- Sound knowledge of Local Government policies and guidelines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
