Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Baker to join our team. This is a hands on position suited to someone passionate about baking and capable of working in a fast paced commercial bakery environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparing and baking a wide range of breads, rolls and specialty loaves
* Producing pastries, pies and other baked products
* Mixing, kneading, shaping and moulding dough
* Monitoring fermentation, proofing and baking processes
* Operating commercial bakery equipment and ovens
* Glazing, finishing and decorating baked products
* Maintaining stock control of ingredients and supplies
* Ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are maintained
* Cleaning and maintaining bakery work areas
* Working with the team to meet daily production targets
Requirements
* Relevant baking qualification or equivalent industry experience
* Minimum two years full time experience as a Baker
* Strong knowledge of dough preparation and baking techniques
* Ability to work early morning shifts
* Reliable, punctual and able to work in a team environment
* Sound understanding of food safety and workplace hygiene practices
