We're looking for a Product Manager (Everyday Banking, Deposits & Insurance) to join our Experience & Product division.
We are seeking a highly motivated Product Manager to lead the design, development and lifecycle management of our products.
Reporting to the Head of Product Development & Management, the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping customer value propositions, drive product performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
You will play a key role in managing and evolving our Everyday Banking, Deposit & Insurance product portfolio, ensuring it remains competitive, compliant, and aligned with member needs and interests.
This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the safe growth and success of our product portfolio, while supporting Defence Bank's broader strategic goals.
We're proud of the strong, collaborative culture that drives our success and a team that supports each other while delivering exceptional member experiences.What You'll DoManage and enhance Everyday Banking, Deposit and Insurance portfolio, ensuring compliance with ASIC, APRA, RBA, AUSTRAC, ACCC and other regulatory requirements.Prepare pricing recommendations, contribute to product reviews and audits, and proactively identify opportunities to improve member experience.Develop business cases for new products and enhancements, support project delivery, and prepare post-implementation reviews.Support oversight over the Everyday Banking, Deposits & Insurance product portfolio, including reporting, performance monitoring and product governance.Own and manage risks, controls, issues and incidents.Act as a subject matter expert across bank-wide projects and strategic initiatives, championing innovation, process optimisation, and change that enhances member outcomes.What You'll Bring5+ years of financial services product management experience, preferably in Everyday Banking, Deposits or Insurance.Strong understanding of the financial services industry and regulatory requirements.Analytical and problem-solving skills.Track record in managing risk and controls and delivering change.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.Strong commercial acumen with proven ability to develop product growth and profitability.Tertiary qualifications in commerce, business or economics or marketing (or equivalent experience).
