Join Us as Our Communications Manager
In this hybrid work model (4 or 5 days per week), you will lead all marketing and communications activities at MDFA. This is a dynamic role where you'll plan and implement strategies across traditional, digital, and social platforms. You'll manage content creation for our website, newsletters, publications, media releases, social media, and annual report, ensuring our message reaches and inspires our community.
You'll also oversee media engagement, manage external agencies, and lead a small team internally. This is an opportunity to use your creativity and expertise to make a real impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and deliver MDFA's annual communications schedule.
* Create and manage content for publications, digital platforms, and campaigns.
* Lead media relations and publicity strategies.
* Manage website content and social media presence.
* Oversee SEO/SEM programs and analytics.
* Provide leadership to the Digital Coordinator and manage external partners.
About you
You have a strong background in communications or journalism and exceptional writing skills with a creative, engaging style. You're experienced across traditional, digital, and social media platforms, and confident in media management, SEO/SEM, and Google Analytics.
Highly organised, you excel at project management and thrive in a collaborative environment. Your leadership style is supportive and nurturing, and you're motivated by making a positive impact in the community.
What You'll Bring
* A communications or journalism background with extensive experience in writing and developing content across multiple platforms; traditional, online and social
* The highest level of written ability with a creative and engaging style
* The ability to translate traditional marketing into digital and online forms of communication
* Public relations and media management experience
* High levels of project management skills with a background in managing multiple priorities, projects, and communication plans
* Social media experience with an understanding of scheduling across multiple platforms
* Experience of both SEO and SEM and an understanding in Google Analytics
* Ability to work effectively as part of a small team, with a collaborative approach to work
* A nurturing and supportive approach to people management
