WK is an international law firm specialising in insurance, risk management and dispute resolution, with offices across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand. We work with the world's largest insurers and re-insurers in the global insurance markets, and many of Australia and New Zealand's largest blue-chip corporates, managing large under deductible insurance programs or self-insuring their business risks. We also act for individual directors and officers, corporations and organisations facing reputational and other significant risks. Our main goal is to help businesses and people when outcomes are uncertain, minimise uncertainty for everyone involved and maintain insured relationships with insurers.
Pathways Program 2026 focuses on practical experience and training in litigation, without traditional clerkships.
Pathways Program 2026
We don't do clerkships. No one wants to spend three months of their summer doing discovery. We're currently recruiting law students who are in their penultimate year to join us in 2026 during their final year of law studies as Pathways Paralegal.
Pathways is an apprenticeship for a litigation career. You'll support a champion team of lawyers, doing real work for real clients across a breadth of industries. You'll gain valuable skills to be first in line for a graduate position and you'll contribute to our pro bono program.

What we're looking for
You've got to want to be a litigator. If that isn't part of your plan, this may not be the right fit. We aim to be the best and to help every lawyer become their best, which requires curiosity, lifelong learning, and trustworthiness with clients, colleagues and peers. To be eligible for a Pathways position, you must:
* be undertaking the final year of your law degree in 2026 (i.e. must be graduating at the end of 2026);
* be either a citizen or permanent resident of Australia with full working rights;
* not be undertaking any other concurrent paralegal, clerkship or vacationer program.
