A key employer in the Colac region is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to step in immediately and support the delivery of a high‐volume, fortnightly payroll. Reporting to the Manager, People & Culture, you will work alongside another Payroll Officer to ensure accurate, compliant and timely payroll processing for more than 300 casual and permanent employees.

About the Role
You will take ownership of end‐to‐end payroll processing using a combination of manual inputs and system‐based workflows. This includes verifying timesheets, transcribing hours accurately, and ensuring all employee data is correct within the payroll system. You'll interpret employment agreements, classifications, allowances and entitlements, maintaining compliance and ensuring every employee is paid correctly and on time.
What You Bring
You're an experienced payroll professional with strong attention to detail and confidence working with manual processes. You understand awards, agreements and payroll compliance, and you're comfortable stepping into a busy environment where accuracy and reliability matter. Experience in high‐volume payroll environments will be highly regarded.
