Category Procurement Specialist- Hardware

At Paramount Browns, we love helping people build, fix and create.
This role is a unique opportunity to take ownership of product development across a diverse portfolio — driving new product ranges, improving existing lines, identifying cost-saving opportunities and delivering real value to our customers. You'll work closely with a supportive retail sales team who are passionate, hands-on and proudly South Australian.
We're a locally owned and operated business with retail outlets in Gepps Cross and Mt Barker, specialising in Hardware and Machinery products. If you enjoy developing practical, customer-focused products and thrive in a dynamic retail environment, you'll feel right at home with us.
What You'll Do
Develop, review and optimise product ranges from concept through to market launch.
Conduct market, customer and competitor analysis to guide decision making.
Analyse product performance and identify growth, cost saving and value-adding opportunities.
Negotiate with key suppliers and maintain strong ongoing relationships.
Collaborate with procurement, merchandising and marketing teams.
Support successful product ranging, launches and promotional activity.
Drive revenue and margin growth across both retail outlets through innovative product development.
What You Bring
Experience in product development or procurement (hardware, tools, machinery or similar retail categories highly preferred).
Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, commercial thinking and retail trends.
Excellent supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
Analytical mindset with strong reporting capability.
Attention to detail and solid problem-solving skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced retail environment.
