The Role
We are looking for a casual Cook to join the team at Idle. This role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong teamwork skills, is curious, and enjoys working with high-quality seasonal produce. You will support day-to-day kitchen operations, delivering consistency, contribute to food preparation and uphold venue standards. Shifts will be across breakfast and lunch services with flexibility across a seven-day operation.
* Willingness to grow and learn
* 2+ years' experience as a cook
* Proven experience in short order kitchens is desirable
* Good communication and a positive attitude
* Food safety certificate required
* Strong mise en place and section management skills
* Ability to consistently deliver quality food.
* Willingness to participate in on-the-job training and continuous improvement
* Adherence hygiene requirements and cleanliness
