Your new role
This is a full-time, 12-month temporary contract opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to lead key financial functions. You'll be responsible for delivering compliant financial statements, managing audit processes, and overseeing treasury activities including investment and constrained cash management. You'll also support strategic planning and collaborate with senior finance team members to ensure financial sustainability and integrity.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll bring a strong foundation in financial accounting, with proven experience in preparing financial statements and engaging with audit committees. Your deep understanding of statutory reporting requirements-including BAS, FBT, and Payroll Tax-will be essential, along with your expertise in treasury management and investment strategies. You'll be a confident communicator, capable of building and maintaining professional relationships with both internal teams and external stakeholders. Experience in system and management accounting is also important, as is your ability to lead by example and foster a positive team culture. To be considered, you'll need a degree in Finance, Business, or Commerce, along with CPA or CA accreditation.
Please note that this position is based in the beautiful Atherton Tablelands. Once you're settled into the role, a hybrid working arrangement will be available, offering flexibility while maintaining strong team collaboration.
