Bond-Eye Australia has an amazing opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced Garment Technician / Product Developer.
Your responsibility will be to translate designs into physical garments, ensuring they are immaculate in fit and quality and in line with the brand's aesthetic and market position.
Key Responsibilities
Producing CAD illustrations, technical drawings, design sheets and tech packs
Developing and sourcing fabrics/trims and hardware in accordance with seasonal designs
Measuring and fitting all pre-production samples according to grading and quality standards, and preparing clear comments for factories
Ensuring factories uphold garment tech specs by providing fit comments and instructions, raising issues and escalating where necessary
Resolving fitting issues and assisting designers by problem-solving and reengineering garments as needed
Following the critical path timeline
Ensuring garments are within accepted tolerances
Creating and maintaining garment blocks (sizes, structures and standards) for reuse in future collections
Monitoring and maintaining fit construction and workmanship to ensure consistency across all factories
Liaising with suppliers and maintaining relationships through clear communication
Implementing and improving processes to increase efficiency and quality
Working across swimwear and ready-to-wear seasonal collections and capsules
Key Skills / Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role
Proven experience in creating high-quality specs, tech packs and grading sheets
Excellent time management, organisational and multitasking skills
Proven experience and knowledge of fabrics, pattern making and garment construction
Proven ability to do size grading
Experience communicating effectively with offshore suppliers
Proven ability to self-manage time and adhere to critical deadlines
Effective verbal, written and visual communication within the product team and other teams
Required skills – Excel & Adobe Illustrator
