Gobawarrah Yinhawangka Aboriginal Corporation RNTBC (GYAC) was incorporated in August 2022 to represent the Yinhawangka people who have traditional rights to Gobawarrah country which is based south of Paraburdoo in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The Corporation is newly established as the PBC and situated in Karratha representing GY people, their interests and rights.
About the Role:
Reporting to the CEO, the Operations Coordinator will provide executive support to the CEO and will work closely with the CEO and Culture & Heritage Team.
The position is responsible for the delivery of operational activities and functions of the Corporation and provide leadership/support and supervision to the team:
* Executive support to CEO
* Day to day office management
* Finance
* Admin
* HR
* IT
* Compliance
* Program/Project/Contract Management

About You:

Essential Criteria
* Extensive operational skills, knowledge and experience
* Sound financial management experience including compliance, grant applications, management and acquittals, developing/managing budgets and financial reporting
* Demonstrated knowledge of legislative and operational reporting requirements and government funding arrangements
* Strong technical and hands on approach to office management and maintenance of office equipment
* Sound leadership & HR skills and experience including training, mentoring and staff development
* Significant experience in contract, project and program management
* Strong IT, computer & software literacy skills, including staff software training
* Experience working for an Indigenous Corporation
* Manual C Class Drivers Licence
As part of the recruitment process, the successful candidate will be required to provide a current WWC and National Police Check.

* First Aid Certification

This is a residential position based in Karratha. The role is a part time role - 19 hours per week with flexibility to work extra hours if required.
No housing or housing allowance will be provided for this role.
