About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Trade Assistant to join our solar installation team. Reporting to the Senior Electrical Supervisor, you will assist with the installation and commissioning of solar PV & Battery systems on rooftops and other structures. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the fast-growing renewable energy industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with on-site installation and commissioning of solar PV & Battery systems.
- Work closely with Rimfire Group supervisors and site representatives to ensure projects are delivered on time and to standard.
- Identify potential risks on site and support corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate records to meet customer, legislative, quality, and safety requirements.
- Actively contribute to the ongoing success of Rimfire Group’s Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
- Carry out other duties as required to support project delivery.
About You
- Previous trade, labouring, or construction experience (electrical or solar experience highly regarded).
- Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
- A strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- White Card (Construction Induction).
- Working at Heights ticket (or willingness to obtain).
