Job Opportunity: Sexual Health Specialist

Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver high-quality clinical and public health services for sexually transmitted and blood-borne virus infections under the supervision of experienced professionals.
2. Participate in outbreak investigations, emergency management, and other critical responses to protect public health.
3. Contribute to project development and coordination within sexual health, applying research to inform practice.
4. Engage with media, public messaging, teaching, and policy implementation to promote positive outcomes in sexual health medicine.
5. Develop skills in leadership, communication, and interpersonal relationships to foster a positive workplace culture.
Selection Criteria
Essential
1. Eligibility for general or conditional registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
2. Advanced trainee status in AChSHM or equivalent qualifications and experience.
3. Proven ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and community members.
4. Experience in sexual health medicine, with demonstrated clinical and operational skills.
5. Knowledge of current and emerging NT public health issues related to STIs.
6. Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures.
Desirable
1. Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant specialty.
2. Specific experience in public health practice.
