About the Role
If you’re passionate about payroll and looking to take the next step in your career, this newly created opportunity could be a perfect fit. You’ll be joining a well-established not-for-profit organisation making a real difference in the community.
While experience in the NFP sector isn’t essential, success in this role will require a background in a medium to large organisation and a commitment to learning and development.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Maintain and update payroll records by collecting, entering and reviewing data
* Provide prompt and professional responses to payroll-related queries from internal and external stakeholders
* Set up and manage employee profiles across payroll and rostering systems
* Ensure accurate input of pay rates, leave entitlements, tax, and superannuation information
* Process fortnightly payroll and troubleshoot any related issues or anomalies
* Support compliance reporting across areas including FBT, PAYG, superannuation, LSL and end-of-month processes
* Liaise with third-party providers for matters such as salary packaging, parental leave, and long service leave
Skills & Experience Required
* Demonstrated experience in payroll, ideally within a larger or complex business environment
* You have a meticulous approach to your work and understand the importance of having a high degree of attention to detail
* A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in career development and taking on new responsibilities
* Comfortable working across multiple payroll and time & attendance systems
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—you’re someone who works well with people at all levels
* Flexible, solution-focused, and team-oriented approach
