The Role
The Procurement Officer is accountable to the Inventory Procurement Lead to support development and proactive management of the procurement requirements across the vessels lifecycle – underpinning the availability of the ships to Navy.
Key Responsibilities:
* Applying procurement practices in a Defence supply chain environment.
* Managing procurement through to delivery, ensuring delivery of supply to the required schedule, scope and quality.
* Maintaining data integrity of the inventory management systems and logistics databases in support of Program requirements.
* Working with the SPO Inventory Team to ensure efficient procurement and repair of inventory to maintain established stock levels.
* Supporting audit and quality assurance controls across the procurement function to ensure compliance to policy.
* Contributing to performance management against key performance indicators and performance reporting.
* Maintaining Raytheon Australia's export control compliance across all Material Support functions.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
* Practical commercial acumen, in particular in sourcing, quotations, orders, supplier engagement and delivery management.
* Minimum 3 years' experience in a procurement role. Experience within a Defence environment preferred.
* Computer literacy including the use of inventory management systems, eg SAP, Maximo, EAGLE or MILIS, Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
