About the Position:
We have exciting opportunities for a skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer with 8+ years of experience to join an expanding and dynamic team in our
Sunshine Coast
office. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of Geotechnical site investigations and construction verification, as well as project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and conduct a wide range of fieldwork including for site investigations and slope stability assessments.
* Undertake factual and interpretive geotechnical reporting.
* Undertake stability assessments with software including SlopeW and/or Geostudio.
* Undertake retention design work.
* Conduct and communicate construction verification on foundations and other earthworks assessments.
* Building lasting client relationships through delivery and communication.
* Provide constructive mentorship to junior and graduate geotechnical engineers.
About You:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering
* 8-15 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering
* Proficient in geotechnical logging, interpretive reporting and managing site investigations.
* Excellent knowledge of testing soils to relevant Australian and State or Territory Standards.
* Member of Engineers Australia.
* RPEQ and CPEng Qualification or working towards/interested in attaining RPEQ and CPEng Qualification.
* Be able to work autonomously at times, managing clients, stakeholders and projects but with the support of the wider team.
* Personable with good communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Ability to travel to project sites and other offices as needed.
* Current Automatic Class C Drivers License.
