We are seeking an Experienced Practice Manager to maintain the established GP practice.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Health Hub Mackay as a Practice Manager within their busy general practice located in North Mackay, QLD. As a full-time Practice Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the smooth running and success of the practice, overseeing all administrative and operational aspects of the business, with the support of the business owner.
Our Practice includes a team of experienced and dedicated GPs, well-trained support staff (nursing and reception), to support the health and well-being of patients, plus the flow of the practice.
What you'll be doing:
* Manage and oversee all administrative and operational functions of the practice, including daily hands-on participation in practice administration
* Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and legislation
* Develop and implement efficient practice policies and procedures
* Manage and lead the administrative team, providing training and support as needed
* Monitor and Analyse practice data and KPIs to identify areas for improvement
* Collaborate with the clinical team to streamline workflows and enhance patient experience
* Manage patient enquiries, bookings, and medical records in a timely and professional manner
* Oversee the practice's financial management, including accounts, payroll, and budgeting
* Represent the practice in the local community and build relationships with key stakeholders
* Manage performance evaluations, rostering and workflow
* Carrying out the recruitment process (Administration and Nursing Support staff) and Doctor Induction
* Practice Accreditation activities and development of practice manuals
* Possibly some Payroll and financial duties
What we're looking for:
* Significant experience as a Practice Manager or in a senior administrative role within a healthcare setting
* In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies and best practices
* Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with patients, clinicians, and other stakeholders
* Proficient in using practice management software and other administrative systems
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement
* Tertiary qualifications in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field would be highly regarded
* I will align with the practice owner's vision and values and work closely with the business owner to enhance the business(s) together
