The Queensland Centre for Digestive Medicine is a leading specialist clinic servicing a wide range of Gastrointestinal conditions for patients within the Darling Downs and surrounding regions. Our diverse team includes Gastroenterologists, Dietitians and Nurses, who are committed to excellence in patient-centred care. We are seeking a compassionate Dietitian to join our private practice for maternity leave cover.
About The Role
With an immediate caseload, our clinic offers a mix of private practice and inpatient care.
We offer private practice consultations for patients referred to by GP and Specialist clinics including:
Gastrointestinal Conditions such as IBS, IBD, Coeliac disease, reflux, liver disease and food intolerancesChronic Disease Management such as diabetes, cardiovascular health, kidney disease and weight managementEating Disorder Management and CounsellingNDIS related nutritional care including, assessment, planning, documentation and reporting
Inpatient Care Includes
Comprehensive nutritional assessmentsNutrition planning and monitoringMalnutrition screening, intervention, and follow-upCollaborating with medical teams to support recovery and discharge planning
You will be supported by our clinic's administrative staff for managing your diary and patient billing.
This is a Part Time maternity leave cover for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extension. Flexibility in work days and hours is available for the right candidate, however we are ideally seeking availability between 2 to 4 days per week (up to 34 hours per week). Role commences early April.

About Our Successful Candidate
Our ideal candidate will have:
Current APD status with Dietitians AustraliaPreferred 4+ years experience in private practiceCredentialling and training in Eating Disorders is desiredExperience or a strong interest in gastrointestinal nutrition (FODMAP training desirable)Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, NDIS, and private billing (desirable)
