The team operates within a community-based service based in Burnie, Tasmania, working collaboratively with individuals, their families, and informal/formal supports to ensure they live their best life. The role involves providing expert knowledge utilising an advanced clinical framework in the management of consumers with complex mental health needs. You will need to have extensive experience in clinical nursing practice in various settings, with at least five years post-graduate clinical nursing experience directly applicable to mental health settings.

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services in accordance with the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan, Mental Health Service principles, National Mental Health Standards, agency policy, legal requirements, and relevant professional competencies.

This position requires you to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team at both service and community levels, possessing highly developed interpersonal skills including written and oral communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.

* Provide expert clinical guidance and support to consumers with complex mental health needs.

* Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with consumers, carers, and healthcare professionals.

* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive mental health services.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:
">
* A Registered Nurse qualification and current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
">
* A post-graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualification or completion of an accredited hospital-based program leading to registration as a psychiatric nurse.
">
* At least 5 years of post-graduate clinical nursing experience in mental health settings.
">
* Relevant psychiatric nursing experience and/or credentialed as a Mental Health Nurse by the Australian and New Zealand College of Mental Health Nurses Inc.

* Holds or is working towards relevant tertiary qualifications.
