As a profit-for-purpose organisation, Community Bank Sarina balances strong commercial performance with meaningful local impact. Since opening in 2005, Community Bank Sarina has invested over $5 million into the greater Sarina district through community grants, sponsorships, donations and scholarships.

The opportunity
SDCFSL is inviting Expressions of Interest from experienced professionals seeking appointment to its Board of Directors.
This opportunity will suit individuals who value good governance, sound financial oversight and active contribution with a community ethos. Directors play a key role in shaping strategy, overseeing risk and compliance, and supporting the continued strength of Community Bank Sarina as both a commercial enterprise and a profit for purpose entity.
About you
We are seeking individuals who bring both professional capability and a genuine commitment to community.
You will likely have:
* Legal and/or accounting experience, with a strong understanding of financial statements and commercial performance
* Demonstrated leadership or management experience at a senior professional level
* A sound understanding of governance, compliance requirement and WH&S.
* The ability to exercise independent judgement while working collaboratively
* High standards of integrity, discretion and respect for confidentiality
* Previous Board experience is valued but not essential.
Time commitment
This role involves:
* Ongoing engagement throughout the year
* Preparation for and attendance at monthly Board meetings
* Participation in committees or working groups as required
