About the Opportunity
This is a mission critical leadership role where you will step into the engine room of a successful construction supply business and take full ownership of its commercial operations. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead a division turning over more than $12M annually, with the mandate to reshape how projects are delivered and how the team performs.
Sales are strong, the pipeline is secure, and the reputation is enviable, but operational discipline has not kept pace with growth. Your challenge is to change that.
From day one you will be streamlining the handover between sales, estimating, and delivery, embedding quality assurance, building accountability, and instilling the systems and structures that protect margins and strengthen client confidence.
You will lead the adoption of a new ERP system, giving the business true visibility across every stage of the project lifecycle.
Above all, you will reset the culture, moving it from reactive to disciplined, collaborative, and high-performing.
Success in this role will be measured in projects delivered seamlessly, teams working in sync, and a business that grows profitably because of the operational foundations you build.
About You
You are an experienced leader of commercial operations with a background in construction, fit-out, flooring, or building products where supply and installation go hand in hand.
You bring a proven ability to run multi-million-dollar projects with operational and financial control, while at the same time lifting the performance of people and teams.
You are hands-on, confident, and decisive, able to step into complexity and create order through structure and clarity.
You understand what it takes to build trust with installers, subcontractors, site teams, and senior executives alike.
Most importantly, you are motivated by transformation and you thrive on embedding systems, creating accountability, and turning a good business into a great one.
