White Knight Lawyers is a growing award winning Australian law firm that offers premium litigation, transactional, and advisory legal services.
We generally practice in litigation and dispute resolution, insolvency and bankruptcy, tax controversy, commercial law and advisory, public law and construction law.
We are currently engaged in diverse ongoing litigation work including proceedings before the Supreme Court of NSW, District Court of NSW, Federal Court of Australia, Administrative Appeals Tribunal, and NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (both original jurisdiction and appeal panel).
We pride ourselves on the quality of our work, developing relationships of trust with our clients, and efficiently delivering engagement-tailored legal services.
Our available role
We are very excited to offer practical legal training to a recent law graduate or PLT student.
This is an unpaid position with prospects of gaining employment with us.
We envisage that you will carry out the following tasks and responsibilities, amongst others:
* Attending client meetings and court hearings and taking minutes and file notes respectively.
* Assisting in the preparation of internal processes, procedures, policies, guidelines and protocols.
* Assisting in the preparation of precedent documents and checklists.
* Drafting publications and legal updates on topical legal issues across a wide range of areas of law.
* Performing legal research and drafting research memorandums.
* Drafting statements of claim, affidavits, and other forms and processes.
* Administrative assistance including file management, diary maintenance, and office management.
About You
You must be committed to establishing a career in commercial private legal practice and have a keen interest in litigation and dispute resolution.
You need to demonstrate a proven record of legal ability, whether that is by way of your academic success, prior industry experience, or relevant extracurricular activities.
