The Role
Trideca is looking for a strategic, hands‑on CTO who is passionate about building, growing, and leading technology‑driven change. You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping Trideca’s technology direction, leading with both commercial acumen and technical depth. You’re a practical visionary, someone who can see the big picture, spot opportunities, and turn ideas into measurable outcomes. You’ve worked closely with enterprise clients, guided major transformation programmes, and you bring people on the journey with you. You’re curious, empathetic, and unafraid to challenge the norm. You connect the dots between technology, business strategy, and customer value, helping customers and teams alike deliver results that last.
How will you make an impact:
* Lead and shape Trideca's next phase of growth, guiding the direction for how we use technology internally and externally.
* Build and grow a high‑performing team of engineers, consultants, and strategists who love solving complex problems and delivering results.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their strategic objectives and aligning our services accordingly.
* Drive go‑to‑market initiatives that connect technology, customer outcomes, and commercial success to attract new business.
* Partner with executive leaders to turn strategic ideas into actionable results, uncovering new opportunities for growth and innovation.
* Design and deliver practical transformation roadmaps that use data, automation, and AI to drive measurable business value.
* Foster a culture of experimentation, excellence, and accountability, where people are encouraged to move fast, think differently, and deliver real impact. As a leader, you will also promote and maintain high standards of best practice, while proactively refining processes and methodologies to drive ongoing improvement.
* Own the financial performance of your department, from managing budgets, forecasting, and cost‑centre accountability, to ensuring sustainable profitability and growth.
About You
You’re a builder and strategic leader with a passion for impact. You’ve built technology practices before, and you know what it takes to blend vision, innovation, and flawless execution.
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Proven success building and leading a technology practice from the ground up – from winning and growing new customers, expanding capability, and building teams to managing the P&L. We want to know the successes, the failures and the learnings from your experience!
* Deep experience in consulting or professional services, ideally within a complex enterprise environment.
* Having a customer‑first delivery focus is imperative for this role. Trideca is not a product environment, and alignment to our company value of Customer Comes First is paramount.
* Strong commercial acumen. You understand how decisions impact profitability, growth, and client value within your department.
* Demonstrated ability to implement technology strategies across multiple domains (e.g. cloud, data, software engineering, AI). We will specifically ask you to outline a strategy you’ve implemented throughout your experience; this is a non‑negotiable for this role!
* A strong personal network and ability to identify and generate new business opportunities that align with Trideca’s strategy. The drive for growth, both individually and as a business, is critical – we all want to win at Trideca!
* Exceptional leadership skills. You will lead by example. This role doesn’t come with an abundance of people at your disposal; we have a small but powerful internal team, and everyone is hands‑on and accountable.
* Clear thought leadership on AI adoption and business integration. You are the expert, the advisor and the go‑to person for our future tech landscape at Trideca.
* A hands‑on, builder mindset – you will be comfortable moving between vision and execution and bringing the team with you.
* Have served in a leadership role for more than 5 years.
* Have led teams of at least 30 people and scaled teams by 40% per year.
