About the roleThe HR Manager is responsible for strengthening Akubra’s ER/IR practices and supporting leaders to cultivate a high performing and engaged culture.
The role will provide strategic and practical support across the full employee lifecycle and play a pivotal role in advising the Executive Leadership Team on people related matters.

What you will doAct as a strategic partner to the executive team, advising on workforce planning, employee relations, and leadership developmentPlay a hands-on role across HR operations and guidance across the employee lifecycleLead industrial and employee relations, including end to end case managementBuild leader capability through practical coaching on best practice people management and safe work practices.Develop and implement ER/IR frameworks, policies and tools that ensure compliance with Australian industrial laws and awardsProvide expert advice on performance management, conduct, grievances and dispute resolutionMonitor legislation and industrial instruments to identify risks and ensure best-practice complianceLead EBA negotiations, manage industrial relations matters, and advise on remuneration strategiesChampion employee engagement, wellbeing and inclusionSupport talent acquisition and development strategies aligned with business needsLead organisational change and business partnering excellence
About youSubject matter expertise regarding Australian Workplace Relations & employment law and regulation, contracts of employment and employment policies and proceduresMinimum 5-8 years’ experience in employee relations or workplace relationsStrong knowledge of EBA processesProven experience in industrial relations and employee relationsStrong strategic thinking with the ability to balance operational executionExperience in manufacturing or growth-focused environments is highly advantageousExceptional communication and stakeholder management skillsTertiary qualification in HR, Law, Workplace Relations or equivalent experience.
