About the Role
As a Survey and Design Engineer at Nambucca Valley Council, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design and execution of various projects. You will be responsible for conducting surveys, collecting data and utilising cutting-edge technology to create detailed designs. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects as well as enhance your engineering skills.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
7. Conduct land surveys using advanced equipment and software
8. Analyse survey data and provide accurate measurements and calculations
9. Create detailed design plans and drawings for engineering projects
10. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure project requirements are met
11. Perform site inspections and quality control to ensure compliance with design specifications
12. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practice to implement innovative solutions.
About You
To be successful in the role you will have:
13. Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying or a related field or extensive relevant experience
14. Proven experience in computer-aided civil design
15. Proficiency in survey and drafting equipment and software
16. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
17. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
18. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
19. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
