About the Role

This Senior Config Analyst (Risk Infrastructure) role is responsible for solution design & configuration, business architecture, controls design, and/or business analysis of decision solutions. Key responsibilities include delivering and sustaining Retail and Commercial Risk IT services aligned to Originations Decisioning, Portfolio Management, Collections Decisioning, Data Provisioning, Architecture & Design, Systems Controls services; including but not limited to Operating Model enforcement/improvement, end-to-end Release Train co-ordination, Bureau data investigations and corrections, Co-ordination of all regular business attestations, Annual reviews, Remediation of audit items, 1st line assurance and fulfilling ad-hoc requests from senior management.

Accountabilities

1. Displaying Thought Leadership with respect to the design and/or development of Retail Risk policy and strategies that are geared towards supporting revenue uplift, improvement in operational effectiveness and cost out for the bank, as well as supporting the strategic direction, design, and effective use of risk infrastructure across the customer life cycle.
2. Maintaining stability of Australia Risk Infrastructure platforms and services to support the Group's Strategic customer objectives.
3. Delivering more simplified, scaled, progressive data and technology infrastructure to help improve the financial wellbeing of our customers (including Responsible Lending and Privacy standards).
4. Enabling the efficient production of quality requirements and manage demand in a way that balances business need with the Technology strategy; industrialised while adhering to the ANZ Delivery Framework.
5. RCRIT representation in Data Architecture forums and formulation of a roadmap from current to target state Risk Infrastructure.
6. Supporting Stream Leads with the development of team members and uplift capability across team to enable delivery of current and future elements of long-term strategy. Includes the provision of technical advice, technical training and mentoring to team members.
7. Building collaborative relationships with Australia and Global colleagues to enable objectives to be achieved and learnings shared.
8. Contributing to Non-Financial Risk framework. Know your risks, know your controls, manage your COR events (ensuring information in COR is accurate, up-to-date, easy to understand, and action oriented). Support Audits and deliver on all audit-related commitments.
9. Supporting regulatory engagements, including those of a BAU nature, with relevant insights and updates on key topics and commitments made. Ensure Australia Risk Infrastructure solutions/assets comply with security policies and global regulatory requirements and meet appropriate risk appetites.
10. Identifying trends, risks, issues, and opportunities; resolve them and/or report escalate to senior management as required.


Your Skills and Experience

* Strong analytical, numerical, research and problem-solving proven ability to deliver Business and Technology solutions.
* Proven technical capabilities and experience with data analytics/science and/or decision systems techniques and tools (e.g., SAS, SQL, R, Python, PowerCurve, Ab Initio, etc.).
* At least five years' experience in risk management and/or technology, with exposure to credit and/or data lifecycle.
* Skilled at the use of facts in discussions and communication with staff and peers.
* Proven ability to communicate up (one level above) and amongst peer groups.
* Well-developed written and oral skills with ~50% of role behavioural, stakeholder engagement evident, 50% of the role technical (having already exhibited experience in previous technical roles via individual's career path).
* Proven ability to make business rule and strategy changes.
* Business analysis experience and/or related technical experience with a strong understanding of strategy configurations and the role it plays in Credit Risk management.
