Learning Support Specialist Role
The successful candidate will collaborate with our team to provide support for students with diverse needs and abilities across all learning areas.
* Support students individually or in groups with specific learning tasks and programs directed by teachers.
* Maintain accurate records of student observation and progress.
* Contribute to the implementation of intervention programs for students.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading small group specialized intervention programs under teacher supervision.
* Attending to first aid needs of students during break times.
* Supervising students in playgrounds, learning spaces, and excursions.
* Ensuring adherence to school policies and procedures.
* Participating in professional development opportunities and attending Learning Support Specialist meetings.
Required skills and qualifications:
* Commitment to Catholic Education and child safety.
* Current Working With Children Check and National Criminal Record Check.
* First Aid certification is beneficial.
* Certificate of Education Support or Integration would be advantageous.
