About the role
This is a role for those who want to be part of bold, high‐impact projects that sets new benchmarks, shaping how essential services are delivered now and into the future. You'll take ownership from concept to commissioning and completion, leading projects that demand more than standard delivery approaches and rewarding those who can turn ambitious ideas into tangible outcomes.
Working across complex innovative initiatives utilising Heat as a Service, where emerging technology, commercial models and community outcomes intersect, this project is the first of its kind in the country, you'll navigate uncertainty, influence direction and pioneer delivery pathways.
From early feasibility and business case development through to construction and handover, you'll drive momentum, provide clarity and maintain accountability in environments where innovation and delivery must move together.
This role is about creating a legacy. It will see you at times travel outside our region, committing to managing budgets, contracts, procurement and risk to ensure the project delivers long‐term value.
About you
As an experienced Project Manager thriving in environments where projects are complex, innovative and highly visible, you bring experience delivering infrastructure or capital projects where ambiguity exists and where advanced solutions are required to achieve practical, value‐driven outcomes. With a strong commercial mindset, with proven capability in financial management, contract administration, risk mitigation and stakeholder negotiation, you're confident influencing decisions at all levels.
A skilled leader, you build trusted relationships and lead diverse teams through collaboration, maintaining accountability for safety, performance and delivery. Your communication style allows you to engage technical experts, contractors, senior leaders and community stakeholders with equal credibility.
Your qualifications in mechanical or process engineering will be tested but your practical and creative approach to problem solving will support your success in the role. Above all you're capable at managing ambiguity whilst keeping momentum on complex projects.
