- We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated to become part of a passionate and engaged team. Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Collect samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention
- Keep meticulous records for every patient and sample
- Prepare and package specimens for transport and testing
**About you**
- To be considered for this position, you will need to have a great blend of skills, including:
- Show a high level of empathy, communication, and customer service
- Strong time management, interpersonal and organisational skills
- A willingness and confidence to work independently in a solo clinic
- Vaccine preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B and COVID-19 are a requirement of this role
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in Phlebotomy or a Certificate III in Pathology Collection would be advantageous

- Collection of blood and other samples from patients in clinic, on-road and hospital settings- Experience in Venesections and Bone Marrows are an advantage but not necessary- Packaging and dispatching of specimens;- Stock maintenance;- Greeting patients / customers and assist with appointments and request details;- Receive payments and receipting of patient accounts;- Provide advice on special requirements, preparation and instructions for tests;- Compliance and adherence with QML Pathology policies and procedures, and Workplace Health and Safety procedures;- You will possess:
- An outstanding patient / customer focus, including the ability to liaise with internal and external customers;- A willingness to adhere to departmental and organisational policies and procedures;- Must be a cohesive and contributing member of the team and display positive attitudes towards achieving outcomes;- Strong time management, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;- Attention to detail and accuracy;- A current Driver's Licence; and- A minimum of 1 year pathology specimen collection experience or a Certificate III in Pathology will be held in high regard.- QML Pathology provides world class diagnostic services to the medical community in Queensland and Northern New South Wales._
