As a seasoned professional, you will be working in the Melbourne Parcel department, where your key responsibilities will include developing new business across various sizes and areas, as well as working on established trades.

You will manage the scheduling of fleets and coordinate with overseas tonnage teams to drive business growth. In addition, you will be responsible for managing existing clients and measuring and managing risk exposure across trades and various positions.

A critical aspect of this role is negotiations and fixing of charter parties, which requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think outside the box.

Your duties will also include managing worldwide communication with satellite offices, brokers, agents, owners, and charterers, as well as following the performance of voyages and working closely with the Operations Department.

You will be responsible for tracking and recording all executed parcel trades and identifying new business opportunities and customers. Additionally, you will travel to meet new and existing clients, participate in various events, and set up and execute strategies fitting the long-term view of the company.

The ideal candidate must hold a Degree in Maritime Studies or a related field, have minimum 4 years of chartering experience, and possess operations experience. Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential, as well as fluency in Mandarin for communication with Chinese clients.

Aptitude to negotiate and close business deals, strong problem-solving skills, and adaptability to an international setting are necessary requirements. The successful candidate will also have high-level open-mindedness and creativity, strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships, and expertise in international shipping and contract law.

Job Requirements:
