Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Apprenticeship Overview
This role is ideal for an individual seeking immediate start as a Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Apprentice.
Main Responsibilities:
* To carry out the overhaul, service, and repair of mechanical components on road transport vehicles such as engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
* To engage in discussions with vehicle drivers to identify faults and conduct diagnosis procedures.
* To repair and maintain cooling systems, diesel fuel systems, air conditioning, engine forced induction systems, and clutch assemblies.
* To undertake the overhaul, repair, and maintenance of engines, manual and automatic transmissions, air braking systems, and final drive assemblies.
* To repair and maintain steering and suspension systems.
* To inspect the safety and roadworthiness of vehicles.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Australian citizenship or residency.
* Manual driver's license and reliable transportation.
